I knit, did you know? I have a whole bag of scarves and such, because scarves is what every new knitter and every now and again knitter knits. At least they are the thing when there are no other plans. And since every new and now and again knitter knits scarves, they are well nigh impossible to sell – that is what I have found. I am thinking of lashing them all together and making a big stripey blanket. In the meantime, I will take pictures of them and use them as hair texture. Cool, huh?
So, this dude is one of the left over scans from my last sketchbook. He was hanging out, waiting for me to remember him. I think maybe he will end up in Your Name Here.
Comics and challenges like Inktober are the only time that I scan work as I get it done. Usually, I like to finish a sketchbook and then scan it all. Then I’ll work on whatever needs to be worked on and let it trickle out on the Bean. I feel as though it’s been slow goings lately. My last sketchbook seemed to take forever to fill up, so I caved and scanned it mid way.
Oh and, today’s page for Levi Levi is ready to go, but won’t post until this evening.
I had a dream a few nights ago. In my dream, I was in some nameless and fantastical European city, surrounded by strange architecture. While passing through a pedestrian square I lamented not bringing a camera other than my phone and struggled to capture a picture of a giant marble pillar. It was carved in larger than life bass relief statuary which seemed to depict an assent from or decent into Hell. This is a little bit of the scene I was trying desperately to focus my cell phone camera on. I can’t remember if I managed to snap the picture in the dream or not. It wasn’t on my phone when I woke up in the morning.
I had the flu most of Christmas break. This is one of the few drawings I managed to squeeze out of my mind/hand while I was sick. I found it. And now that the memory of how terribly I felt is almost gone, I kind of like the drawing. It could be a good logo or tattoo for something or other, except that it has my face on it.
And I don’t like to erase, apparently. At least, I don’t like to erase on doodles. But, aren’t they cute?!
