The Page 100 Project developed on the Jason Turner Project and involves turning to the 100th page of a novel you love and capturing that page in comic form. There are a whole lot of really amazing comic artists who have taken up this challenge and a lot of them are listed at the link above.

Most of my 100th pages have been from my nostalgic return to junk food 80s teen romances. Not really books I love so I am happy to say that I finally get make a comic for a fantastic book: Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures by Emma Straub. Now I can’t accurately say that I would have picked up and read Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures if I had not previously met the author (I have not been browsing the fiction shelves as much as I used to). Emma Straub is a fabulous person and when I heard that Laura Lamont’s Life in Pictures was published I ran to the bookstore to get it. And then I took way too long to read it.

I only hope I did this 100th page some justice. Emma’s writing is so saturated with feeling and visuals that I found it difficult to capture action that was only happening in the mind of one character.
