Stone Monkey<\/em> and Red Planet Ride<\/em> by Jim Round<\/a> – These are plane old adorable, and polished and full of color.\u00a0 The environments created within are amazing.<\/p>\n

Ghosts of Pineville<\/em> from CricketPress<\/a> –\u00a0 I never lived in a place with a haunted house or a ghost story, but I’ve read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies set in towns that did.\u00a0 It’s kind of like the quintessential American mystery and that is probably why the Ghosts of Pineville<\/em> felt so nostalgic.\u00a0 This is good stuff.\u00a0 Good stuff.<\/p>\n

All of Them Witches<\/em> by Patt Kelley<\/a> –\u00a0 Tiny short stories and vignettes with a surreal fluid and pointy style.<\/p>\n

Grickle things <\/a>The Hidden<\/a> – <\/em>wait…NOT an Etsy purchase, but I must include it in the haul because it’s fabulous and was part of the same shopping spree.\u00a0 Sorry Etsy.\u00a0 This is an adorable story by Graham Annable.<\/p>\n

Flesh and Bone<\/em><\/a> – Julia Gfr\u00f6rer put together this beautiful, painful lump of bound paper and story.\u00a0 Her details and the plethora of line and movement only emphasize a fantastical and tragic story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
